Venue Africa are publishers of mapping and information covering destinations, features, water charts throughout Southern Africa.
2D productions include the publication in the mass media of newspaper supplements and promotional material, rigorously surveyed and thoroughly researched. Conventional, 2D print runs also cover features, destinations, maps and tourist maps and water charts throughout Southern Africa. We maintain our core interest of supplement production. On the production side our strength is national and international print media coverage. New ventures include cartography, charting and customized mapping and our, 'Imperial Series' of maps of SA and Natal featuring battlefields and Boer War maps, produced by the British in the year 1900.
From a marketing perspective we have incorporated our extensive interest in Africa generally and SADC (the Southern African Development Community) in particular, into a holistic strategy which now focuses on local SA destinations, equipping them with marketing skills which guarantee maximum exposure to tourism and investment flow.
Our peripheral interest remains in the production of brochures, posters, calendars and other specialized promotional material.
Mapping Agents: Venue Africa are official mapping and chart agents for the SA Navy and the Department of Land Surveys and Mapping, in South Africa.
Cartography includes coverage of the entire Southern African coastline and aerial; orthophotos; geo-maps; land surveys and the re-production of topographic information from a scale of 1:10 000 to 1:2 000 000.
We specialize in waterways including the supply of Naval Charts of the Vaal Dam and customized 1:30 000 - 1:50 000 canvases tracing the Vaal River and Dam; the Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site; Hartbeespoort Dam; Bronkhorstspruit Dam; Gariep and all other inland waterways in the republic.
Wall Maps are customized and range in size from 1 - 2, at a scale of 1:10 000 upwards. Charts vary in size and are tailored for use on the water or at or at sea (+/-700mmX500mm) and are a necessary companion for the on-board GPS.
Wall Maps offer a professional sales aid for the office and talking piece at the home when mounted on the study or den wall.
Both are promotional tools for tourism venues, providing details of context and location at restaurants and in hotels and guaranteeing essential information when planning a tourist venture to Africa's countless destinations, be this by road or by water, or for the tourist or tour operator.
